We’re so excited to welcome children aged 5-11 to Local Kids Choir in Preston!
Our weekly sessions are all about having fun, singing great songs and giving children a place to be themselves.

Led by choir leader Rose Allen, who holds an Enhanced DBS check, every session is fun, encouraging and full of energy.

Meet Rose Allen, the friendly face behind Preston Local Kids Choir!
Rose brings warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for music to every rehearsal.
With a First Class Honours degree in Musical Theatre and a background in performance, musical direction and teaching, Rose loves helping people discover their confidence through singing.
She’ll make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door, creating a fun, relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy making music together.

Fill in your details below to book a free taster session for your child at our Preston Local Kids Choir. Once you’ve reserved their place, we’ll send you everything you need to know, including a reminder of the time and date of the session.
They don’t need to bring anything with them other than a bottle of water – singing can be thirsty work!
When they arrive, they’ll be greeted by choir leader Rose and welcomed into a fun, friendly and supportive session where they can get involved, meet new people and enjoy singing together.
No auditions, no pressure and no singing alone – just great songs, new friends and plenty of fun!
Preston Local Kids Choir is about so much more than singing. It’s a place for young people to build confidence, make new friends and feel part of something special.
Whether your child loves to sing or you’re looking for a fun new activity to get them out of the house and away from screens, they’ll be welcomed into a friendly, supportive environment where they can be themselves.
Coming on their own? Lots of children do, and we’ll make sure they feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

WHAT HAPPENS AT CHOIR?
Every Thursday evening, your child will enjoy 90 minutes of singing, fun and confidence-building in a friendly, supportive environment.
A typical session includes:
• A warm welcome and time to settle in
• Fun vocal warm-ups
• Learning great songs in easy-to-follow harmony parts
• Singing together with no pressure to perform alone
• Plenty of encouragement, support and laughs along the way
There’s no need to read music or have any previous singing experience.
They’ll also get access to our online Kids Members’ Area, with lyrics, harmony tracks and resources to practise at home, plus opportunities to perform at local and regional events.

Your child doesn’t need any previous singing experience or need to read music. There are no auditions and no pressure to sing alone – just the chance to enjoy making music as part of a group.
Support local charities
Giving back is a big part of Local Vocals. Our choirs regularly perform and collaborate with local charities, giving our young singers the opportunity to use their voices to make a difference.
