Brighten your Thursday mornings with the joy of singing together!

Our wonderful community choir in Blackburn meets at Woodlands Church on Thursday mornings and is the perfect place to meet new friends, build your confidence and start your day with singing.

Led by local choir leader George Harry Jones, our Blackburn choir is an inclusive, friendly bunch who love singing together each week, as well as enjoying tea and cake during rehearsals!

Our choirs are perfect for people who have told themselves all their lives that they “can’t sing”. We believe everybody can and should sing. No experience is needed, just come along, learn great songs, relieve stress and find your voice.

What our choir members have to say…

'Being in Local Vocals choir has brought me a sense of belonging, and given me opportunities to make new friendships. I love the access to all rehearsal locations, meaning I have every opportunity to develop my vocal techniques, breathing, pitch and harmony skills.

As singing has proven to reduce stress, increase endorphins, and build confidence, I routinely benefit from being a part of an amazing choir, that gets to perform across the North West. There's lots of shared fun and laughter, with talented and experienced Choir Leaders, who make the whole experience invaluable.
