Bridgewater Hall Intensive Workshop

This optional intensive workshop is designed to give us dedicated rehearsal time ahead of Bridgewater Hall and to give us the chance to go beyond what we can usually cover in weekly rehearsals.

£1 per person attending will be donated to North West Cancer Research

Over the three hours, we’ll work through the full performance and focus on the details that make a difference on stage.

The session will include:

• Full vocal and physical warm up

• Full run through of the entire Bridgewater Hall set list

• Work on dynamics and musical contrast

• Phrasing and shaping songs together

• Blending and choir sound

• Vocal technique and healthy singing habits

• Performance skills and acting through song

• Performance flow, transitions and confidence building

• Time to refine sections that need extra attention

This session is designed to help us perform with greater confidence, consistency and impact as a choir.

Members performing the shorter Bridgewater Hall programme are very welcome to attend. The afternoon has been planned around the full concert performance, so the session will follow the complete programme and no separate rehearsal sections or discounted places are available.

As this is an optional additional rehearsal taking place outside of the regular Local Vocals programme, attendance is separate from normal choir membership.
